Anger, seething anger
I can’t hold it in
This resentment, this hatred
Why did I fail?

It was all going well
It was just as planned
Then the impossible, the unthinkable
Happened; why was it discovered?

I wish everything would disappear
In a storm that will forever be remembered
I wanted to be loved; I craved it
Now all I want is a legend of destruction

True, I hid some things
But I never really lied
I never truly deceived
I guess I’ll still have some fame

I know I hurt people; so what?
Doesn’t our entire race to the same?
I simply wanted the stardom
Then why is this happening?

I wanted the recognition
I wanted to be importance
Just none of the work-
It was too lowly for me

So, I took a few shortcuts
Of course, that’s to be expected
Every main character in any story
Must have done something similar

But, then why are they blaming me?
I’m a star! I really shine!
Can’t they see they’ve misunderstood
How wonderful I really am?

All I did was pull a trigger
A little blood, and one rival less
It makes things simpler, and
Simple is always best, I say!

So what is this about ‘murder’?
What is this about ‘horror and shame’?
Why are they taking away my limelight?
Why was I declared ‘criminally insane’?
Okay, so this one was a major creep-out for me even as I was writing it. I was attempting to enter the mind-set of someone who is criminally insane and really does not feel that they did anything wrong by taking a human life. Oh yeah, it was scaryyyyy! It was inspired by an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, mixed in with Fall Out Boy's song "This ain't a scene!" and it's moral value. Let's just say, people can be really messed up. Hope you like it! :)
