Giving up on human relationships
They are so complicated
There is no reward in love
There is no return of affection
There is only demand
Selfish and unrequited
Because I cannot give
I am just as selfish as them
After all, I am only human
As twisted and heartless
As the rest of the race
Shamelessly cruel
Exploiting the weak
Hurting those who love me
Chasing after those
Without interest in me
And never turning to look
At the ones who chase me
Ironic isn't enough of
A description of this plight
This Human Condition
Always searching for Light
When my back is turned
How will I see it?
All I can see ahead is
Darkness and Instability
Will not someone
Please rescue me?
I am but another
Wretched soul
Tired of human relations
Tired of complications
All I want is to be
Saved from myself
I want a Savior
To give me strength
Someone please save me
God please grant me
The warmth of Your embrace
Your amazing Grace
Please do not chastise me
I cannot bear rejection anymore
I've had enough
With trying to change
To fit someone else's
Ideal mold
Accept me into Your arms
As I am now
And save my soul
Return me to Your Grace
Forgive me my sins
With these words, I repent.
