Layers of masks so painstakingly built
Falling off so effortlessly
In front of you, my soul is bared
Somehow Im very scared
Usually no one can even see
The masks that I have on me
But you, with your patient air
Strip my armor built with care
In front of you I am simply me
I wonder how this can be
Im a person thats just cowardly
Someone you should never see
We all carry many secrets
And have many layers
That we seek to protect
Behind these polished masks
With politeness and courtesy
We hide so effortlessly
Yet somehow, you see
Right through me
And somehow, its comforting
To be seen and understood
Yet not judged or hated
Maybe this was fated
My masks have crumbled
And now I stand before you
With only my stark reality
Thank you for accepting me

Who can resist an irresistable force? Adventure beckons. Obey the siren's call.
